Cellest Amanda Gookin’s Forward Music Project is “a premier example of feminist advocacy done right” (I Care If You Listen), and commissions new multimedia works for solo cello that elevate stories of feminine empowerment through performances and educational initiatives. Gookin requested an album design that captured the raw tone of the third release in the FMP collection: Fever Dream.
The design is simultaneously uplifting and a bit jarring, visually representing the experiences of mental health and the music that moves from states of feeling stuck, tethered, and bound toward freedom and release.
